I'll be there June 22-29. It's big during the week, small on the weekends (more people). About 400 ridable acres or so. Search the dune forum about a year back for a post with pics by "BansheeBrad". Nevermind, here's the link:Silver Lake pics from BansheeBrad IMO. it's some of the best riding in the state of MI, especially on something like a Raptor. I had my Raptor there last year twice (before I sold it) with Skat-Trak Haulers and the whole place was a blast. Everybody needs to go at least once.

I plan on heading up on July 19 & 20 (Friday & Saturday), if anybody wants to join us. I am little concerned on the sound issue. Let me know if they are testing at the gate or making random test in the park. Also if they are giving any leeway on the 94 db rule. I have a pro circuit t4 pipe on my ex. I have the quiet core insert that I will probably put in. I also plan on taking my stock exhaust along, but would rather not have to put it back on.

They are checking one by one at the entrance of the dunes for spark arrestors, but just random checks for sound. Its 94 db with a 4 db leeway for a maxx total of 98 db. They place a sound meter at a 45 deg angle 20 in from the pipe at 3000 rpm(depending on your cc).

I might be taking my wife up there for her first dunes trip on the 22nd.

Me and my buds not long returned from Lil Sahara Ok. and she is wanting to go duning and see what it's all about. She rides. Just never been to the dunes. And I really don't know if I can afford for her to get addicted like I am... ya know what I mean Vern?

I've always gone up there on weekdays - is it possible to get a parking voucher ahead of time (and how much ahead)?

You reckon my Raptor with a full system E-series will meet the 94-98 range with a quiet core 2 (especially if I take out a few discs also)? They say the quiet core only cuts it about 5 db's. I think the E is about 103 on the Raptor (according to Dirtwheels - but who can trust them anymore). So it sure as heck will be close huh?!

On the voucher system, you can start picking Saturday parking lot vouchers up at 6:00 pm on Friday night. They pass them out until they are gone. I think you can get Dune ready vouchers all day on Friday. I think Sunday vouchers can be picked up at 6:00 pm on Saturday.

Just put the stock silencer on and then change it when you get inside. Woek all the time.
