I could easily drop one from my door with my hand gun. Embarrassed to admit it but I'd be lost on what to do from there.

Well, it isn't exactly pleasent. Involves a slit all the way up from belly to throat and a very careful cut around the anus to detach the digestive tract with a final cut of the throat. After that it's off to the butcher if you don't like the idea of cutting it up yourself. All in all, it's a lost art...

Moose, I think I'm the only here that doesn't hunt, I'm one of the "imports".

I haven't been out riding other than just around here on the proerty. I have been doing a little exploring while out checking up on our water.

Our history around here only dates back to early 1860s. The mining and wood pipes here date back the the 1890s and are located here on Big Rocks property.

Those pipes impress me a lot. They are definitely in the "neat" category.

It's funny, but part of the pipe sealing properly was letting liquid run through it to get the wood to swell up and tighten the joings. Same process goes into wood barrels.

I love it!! Nothing better than taking a ride and having something great to experience while taking a break from the seat. Not to mention the possibility of planning a ride to visit sites like that. I personally love looking at the left behind stuff, and learning about the early times in our great country. Thank you for your time to share with us!! You as always keep us wanting more!! Great stuff!!
