Default The adventure begins - 400+ miles in Utah

I've been planning this trip for two years now, and it begins tomorrow. The plan is to ride my ATV from my house to Duck Creek, UT (50 miles), then to Circleville, UT, then complete a loop on the Fremont and Paiute Trail systems, finally riding to Beaver, UT, then back to my home by another 60 miles on the High Desert Trail system. The hard part will be the distances between some fuel stops. Here is a picture of my ATV ready to go tomorrow morning, with a fuel load for 200 miles between fill-ups, and all of my camping gear, food, and cloaths.

The adventure begins, ... tomorrow morning. Wish me well.

Got back just before dark tonight. What a fantastic ride, one of the best ever for me. The weather was perfect, the fall colors were spectacular, and not one single problem came up. I got to see lots of wildlife on this trip, including a heard of elk that crossed right in front of me on a 50" wide trail in heavy timber. Here are some pictures from the trip.

Early on day one, crossing a lava bed in the Markagunt Trail System.

Looks like a beautiful time of year to be riding that area. Those aspens look great against the deep blue sky. Glad you had a great trip. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I'm jealous. I live here and have not made it to the Rocky Ford trail yet.

Thanks for the pictures and I'm glad it was "uneventful".
