Roxbury, Maine ride.
Never know quite what you'll run into in New England.
https://scontent-b-lga.xx.fbcdn.net/...25322503_o.jpg Not something I come across out on a trail ride too often. Couldn't find who was running this facility. No signs that I could find other than "No Trespassing". https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.n...71626006_o.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...64646344_o.jpg Brook along the way. https://scontent-a-lga.xx.fbcdn.net/...73113919_o.jpg |
Looked to me to be a coyote skeleton. Didn't notice another one until I came back on this trail later in the day. It was in the mud to the right of the one in this picture. Something tells me they ran into someone who had the means to dispatch them.
https://scontent-a-lga.xx.fbcdn.net/...51411772_o.jpg Up around 1800 ft. elevation. Clouds were pretty low most of the day but I didn't get rained on. Not fond of rain when it's in the mid-40's. https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.n...13954178_o.jpg Does the woodpile make my quad look small? I've found that it doesn't take trees too long to grow in New England. I've seen spots that were clear cut where the trees are over ten feet tall in a couple years. https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.n...77543731_o.jpg https://scontent-a-lga.xx.fbcdn.net/...18333355_o.jpg |
Good pics. My friends and I saw wood piles like that and thought how nice it would be for firewood.

you should have climbed up and over those wood piles :)

I've seen too many piles of wood shift and tumble. I'll let you go first when you come up to visit.
