Looking for best technical riding bike but still wanna rip turns
Okay, this is gonna open the door maybe on a lot of different opinions but I want to know from experienced riders... The kind of riding I like best is definitely ripping trails but also love going through the tight woods over rocks and big roots and even small logs... some mud of course but I live in new hampshire the granite state so there's rocks everywhere. I ride because it's a good workout and I hate the friggin gym so I want a bike that will handle everything but still make me work a bit... don't need a bombadier 800 max xt that's a cadillac that will run over trees but also don't want to get stuck too much and want to be hanging off the thing technical riding over the sh*t. Right now I have a 400ex jacked with power and the thing runs great but (1) I have no reverse and (2) I get stuck even on big roots cause of swing arms and two wheel drive. I don't want a 600 pound bike cause I think the bike's riding itself instead of me riding it like my sport. I've been looking at the wolverine 450 and it seems like a nice mix. What are your thoughts? I know this is like an open ended question but everytime I post something here I get the frickin sweetest answers and I want to know what my next bike is going to be. Consider money to be no object. Jumping means nothing to me and I'm not doing third gear wheelies, like I said, like even the slowest of technical rides but want to be getting a workout, not just sitting on a tank

I would have to say that you are on the right track with the Wolverine. They are not fast top end but they are going to give you the best for what you are looking for I believe. I know that the Wolvy will do the technical stuff better than the 700XX. They are great hill climbers too (Wolverine). A guy was following me in some pretty extreme stuff and he did great. You won't regret it I bet.

you need to look into the new Yamaha Grizzly 700 I have one. it is the perfect balance of speed and agility. i can rip turns, go in mud pits, go rock climbing, everything and anything I want to do. you have 2 and 4 wheel drive, ultramatic transmission (witch is good for tight trails and straight aways) , and electronic speedometer. it is fun and it has front and rear independent suspension witch is good for the back and a good workout.
