Floorboard Skids?
Hey all. It's been a while since I have been around here.
Anyhow, since picking up my '05 Brute Force last fall, I've been riding it pretty hard. It seems that each time I take it out I break plastic on rocks, trees, etc. I can deal with zip-tie stitching the fenders, etc. and I've trimmed off all of the uneccesary flares in the fenders that I could without going overboard. However, last time out I cracked the "structural" plastic on the outside of each floorboard. It's become a real PITA because now the cracks hang me up on rocks or logs and I have to be real careful about getting on/off the quad because the floorboards basically give way. I've been looking around, but haven't really found an aftermarket floorboard skid. Does anyone know if any are available? If not, has anyone made something custom to their quad that I could see pictures of? I'm thinking that if there isnt anything "off the shelf" out there, I might just fabricate something up. Thanks in advance! |
no one!? no one else beats their quads on the rocks!? I find that hard to believe!

Since you can't see it, sounds like it would be cheaper just to make a steel plate yourself.

Can't find anything on Ebay?

yeah coming up empty, guess I'll have to homebrew a solution!
