The answer is No it doesn't work. I tried it and it is a joke. Bottom line for scratched plastics is that they are all going to be scratched no matter what.

Default Plastic Gloss

I have found a product called plastic gloss made by nova industries. You spray it on and leave it. It make you plastic look brand new. The scratches are still there but not visable and it shines like brand new. Also it forms a barrier so that the next time you clean your bike the mud and dirt just falls off. Highly recomend it. It's made up here in Canada so you know it's good.

Woops, I said nova industries, I ment nova fluids. Here is the link. nova fluids I will take some pics this weekend and post them next week showing the difference of before and after.

You can do the same effect with Plasticoat clear coat spray...... all you do is sand out the scratches and spray a few coats of the clear coat over it...... It will give it some shine back. Not perfect but decent enough.
