If I ride by myself where I could get stuck I take tow straps, a comalong and a long crow bar with a big hammer. In case I get stuck somewhere without a tree nearby I pound the crowbar into the ground and use that as an anchor. It has worked for me before but it seems if I were stuck really bad the crow bar would just pull out of the ground.
