A Greene County man is accused of firing two shots from a handgun in the direction of four all-terrain vehicles whose riders he was chasing off his property Sunday.
Kenneth G. Ashcraft, 50, of Valley View Drive, Clarksville, is facing charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and harassment, court records show.
State police said he placed Donald Sommovilla, David Ables, Stephen Pierce and James Crawford in danger when he fired the shots while chasing them in his pickup truck about 3:30 p.m.
Ashcraft later told police he fired the shots into the air. He chased them to a field off Piper Road near Marianna, where the four scattered and later called police after determining no one was injured, police stated in the affidavit.
Ashcraft is free on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry

This one is a lose-lose situation......
Trespassing is not enough cause for anyone to unload shots from their handgun....
As an ATV rider and a handgun owner I'm saddened for both causes...... This gives ATV riders and gun owners a bad name.....
Two wrongs..... no rights.....
