450's KFX or LTR?
 

I am a new rider and I am trying to pick between the LTR or KFX. I ride tight trails mainly and I like to do hills. My friend has a 08 450 KTM XC, which I can get one for a great deal but I do not see my self racing for a couple of years at least. Do you think that getting a KTM is overkill when I am not going to be racing?

The main downside of the LTR is no reverse. With the tighter trails I use reverse here and there and is kinda needed.

Can I get some opinions?

I think you've answered your own question. You ride tight trails and would use reverse. The KFX450 has what you're looking for. If the trails are real tight the KFX would be a better choice than the LTR. Both are good bikes though.
