studs or chains?
i have my polaris cyclone and has some pretty decent rear tires
my question is for this coming winter should I use snow chains or studs? i can get a set of chains for 50 bucks but i have ready they can become deadly weapons on tires if they come loose especially on a 2WD quad and studs i can get on mfgsupply.com i am up in the air and need some advice most riding will be on the lake with max of 6 inches snow |
Chains are defintly more agressive and work great yes you do need to make sure they stay tight and are fitted good! I have ran chains for a few years now and have had no problems, tried studs once and they worked good around the house for plowing snow but when I went trail riding in deeper snow and things got serious they did not perfourm like the chains did. Here is a link to some pretty sweat chains for a pretty sweat price check it out. Tire chains
