Do you live near Dallas, TX or Albuquerque, NM?
Strange question, I know. Here's the thing. I live near Chicago, but tired of the long winters and lack of cool outdoor recreation opportunities. (ATV, motorcycle, camping, hiking, etc)
head I work for a large company and we have 2 other offices, one in Dallas and one in Albuquerque. It would be pretty easy for me to transfer to either of these cities. But not knowing alot about the areas, I was wondering if some local folks could let me know the general feel of the areas. I know for one the summer temps would take some getting used to, but other than that why should I pick your city? Thanks for any input |
Albuquerque would be my choice. You won't be far from some of the most beautiful country I've ever seen between the northern end of NM and southern Colorado.
The metroplex is a cesspool, imo. If you like a big city, you may like it but I'd shoot somebody the first month if I lived there. (no offense, scooter!) |
Even though I am not from Texas, I would have to second Alburqurque. I have been to Dallas, it is a huge, sprawling urban jungle, more suited to those who like the big city. I have always wanted to visit NM, very scenic, much less crowded, and looks like a lot better area for riding/scenic touring.

I Live in Albuquerque, and I love it here. It's a big enough city to not feel small town but small enough to keep you from getting that closed in feeling. And some sweet riding close to city limits. Also some really great mountain trails a short drive away. here are a couple of links to my threads I have pics posted.
