THATS AWESOME !!!
What a perfect age...the excitement of a child at that age...He will remember that trip for a looonnng time.
One thing I did for my son was pop rivet some simple handles to the top of the gas tank..most quads have a plastic skin ovr the actual gas tank so you can drill a shallow hole to attach the handles easily.Cuz he's not gonna be car seat sized too much longer and with the handles he can safely ride in front of you.
But keep taking him out and h's gonna want his own quad soon .
Congrats and enjoy thee time.

I thought about some strap contraption up on the tank for him to hold on too ..good idea about the handles. The heat from the exhaust was right at his foot and ankle so thats why we went to the back ... plus i didnt get the head butts in the chin
He did ride up front for a bit when we were dragging some .
The car seat worked perfect , 1 ratchet strap and a separate lap belt to hold him in . Had to tie up the back for support since there was no car seat back to hold it ... it's one of those kind thats a booster with adjustable backs.
Already have his own in the works with grandma
Were thinking of one of those 90cc, 600 dollar ones to start with , really like the remote kill and speed governor features for him to learn on .
He played co-polite when we were out dragging .. so he knows to follow the trails, govern it down and turn him loose
Get him taught and both of us can go thru the drive-thru
