in the market for new 4x4 tav

I used to own a 2004 polaris sportsman 700 with all of the goodies. I haven't owned any atvs in about 3 years. I would like to get a new 4x4 but do not want to 10 grand on a machine. I like polaris 4x4s and was thinking of the new sportsman 570. I see that this motor puts out almost the same hp as my old 700. I don't want anything less powerful than why i had. I have no interest in a used machine because I USED my atvs in the past and don't want anyone else's headache. thoughts on the 570?

My son and a buddy's son rode RZR's with the 570 in them out on the Paiute Trail in Utah. They did very well even at almost 11,000 ft. elevation at some of the high points. The RZR is heavier than the Sportsman 570 so it should do well.

The 570 ace IMO is a pretty sharp platform

If the 570 can haul around a heavy SXS it sure can't be working hard in a much lighter ATV.

From what I've read the 570 has 3% more HP than the 600 twin which had 8% more than the 500 H.O. That's a pretty good step up in power from the 500 to the 570. I have no idea what the torque is like.

Being that an ace is built off a sportsman chassis and is kinda cool I wouldn't mind bagging one but I got a leftover 400 HO for less than $5,600 out the door I couldn't resist and have not been sorry. The 400 while not super powerful is enough to do everything I do so far, but that's just me.

The 400 H.O is a 455cc which is rated at 32hp so its not bad.

More power then a 500 Honda Foreman or 500 Rubicon in comparison.

A couple in our local ATV club bought two 570 Sportsmans. Polaris held their press intro about 100 miles away from where I live, and they had dozens of slightly used machines after the event. Our local dealer took most of them, and the two Sportsman 570s were from that group. They each had 24 miles on them, and were in good shape. They told me list price was $8500, and they paid $6500 for each of them. They sound like they really like them. I'll bet they're a great ATV.

For that price they had to be the SP with EPS. The standard 570 is worth what they paid for them used.
