1983 Honda big red three wheeler

My buddy bought a 1983 honda big red and it keeps constantly leaking gas out of the carburator and it won't start. I've cleaned the carb completely and it still does it what else could it be?

I just cleaned the carb on my 1987 230e Suzuki (pilot jet was clogged ) and when I re assembled it was leaking bad. I had the fuel line switched with the vent line lol.

the floats may be sticking, the needle the floats press against my be sticking/worn, floats may have a pin hole leak, floats might need to be adjusted.

Yes, all of those things. Usually I have found replacing the needle valve fixes it. The rubber gets hard and wears against the metal seat over time. My dad had an old Suzuki that started leaking after the drain screw backed out to far, acting the same way.
