Default Corroded Screws on Stator Cover

I recently did an engine swap and noticed a few of the screws on the stator cover are badly corroded. What are my options on this?

Any idea how to successfully get the screws out without having to drill it out and rethread. Attached is a picture of one of the screw heads.

Drill a smaller hole in the middle of the screw and use a easy out. As long as you don't damage the thread, there is no re-threading necessary..
Or...You could cut a slot in the screw with a dremel and then try to remove with a flat head screwdriver.
Or ..you can put a nut over the top, then weld the nut to the screw from the inside if the nut.
