Default Is there a difference between a Kawasaki lakota sport and a normal Kawasaki lakota

Ive been trying to find the difference between these two , all i know is the major difference by the looks is the rails . But is there any difference motor wise or anything ?

Looks like the early Lakota was more of a utility machine with racks. Shows 2000 to be the last model then the Sport replaced it. At least from what this comparison shows.

I had a Lakota with the racks. I think the "sport" model was the same quad without racks.

I thought they were the same price. $300 difference can buy a lot of gas.
