Where could I get cheap plastics for this??? Mine are cracked and messed up from the idiot I got it from who can't take stuff off right
i am wanting to build up my scrambler, wanna change my tranny around, previous owner did not take care of it, and ran it without trans fluid for a few days then decides to tell me after I purchased it. what do people usually swap these trans out with, and should I stay 4 stroke or go 2 stroke, I have super great acceleration but my top speed it bullsh^t and Can I just slip in a new ignition cause mines garbage. Thanks to anyone who can help me with answers. I appreciate it sorry for so much questions lately but I am new to this and am really into getting good at finding the problem myself without needing answers til then I'll ask you. It is a 2001 scrambler 500 2x4

These models share the same gear case your 2001 model. You could keep a look out on ebay for a used one.

Looks somewhat related to a 1996 Sportsman 400 l 2 stroke that I had. I could get almost all the parts from the dealer, but check eBay first. Unless you are positive the transmission is toast, why not fill it, run a couple miles, then drain an refill and try it. Even if the idiot ran it some, there was probably enough lube left to protect it. If that bike is a 2 stroke, clean out the muffler, mine was almost completely packed with soot. Run injection oil in the injection system, not conventional premix 2 stroke oil. The front rear swing arm bushings in mine were junk plastic. I had new ones made out of bronze, then it handled nicely. You might check with AAEN , I think is the company, they had lots of racing parts.

The 500 is a 4-stroke that's supposed to have about the same horsepower as the 400 2-stroke. I don't know what the top speed is on either one but the 400 is quicker.
