Your opinion on my next tav
Time for a new ATV, Im a die hard honda guy but just don't like the look of the Ricon 680. My honda rubicon will be handed down to wife as i get a new one
I have narrowed it down to 3 machines!
2018 can am outlander xt 650
2018 Yamaha Kodiak 700
2018 Suzuki kingquad 750
all the esp/winch etc
Im a guy who believes in servicing my atv at least twice a season- oil change/ filters/air filter oil etc etc
trying to figure out which one will most suit my needs my 500 is just little slow on the long roads
1)reliability
2)fuel miliage( as we do some long trips)
3) which one is most likely to be least cost in fixing up because of breakdowns!
lastely , i really love the look of the outlander and kodiak most i heard can ams have had there problems but not sure how the newer ones are. all my buddies got like 4+ years old and always putting money into them! The king quad i like except i hate the looks of the handle bars , to me they look like chopper handles lol( not interested in Polaris /arctic scrap or kawasaki
Thanks for you input guys, please be as honest as possible as some people are die hard loyal to there brands

Can-Am gets more power per cc from most of their engines than anyone else. I assume that comes at the price of worse gas mileage, but who knows? I don't know much about Suzuki because no one I ever rode with had one, except for one guy who had a Z400. Yamaha makes good quads, or at least they did. One of my friends didn't have any problems with his Grizzly 660 for something like 13 years. If I was going to get a Yamaha it would be a Grizzly. Everything I read about them said that Kodiaks are better suited for work than trail riding, but I'm sure you have a good reason for choosing one over a Grizzly.

most of my buddies ride can am and that will be my next machine. For the engine size they are good on fuel. They may be a bigger engine but need less throttle to do the same speed as other machines.. As far as brake downs the only ones iv seen are when they get a little hard on the throttle when they should not. Operator error and all my buddies ride 1000.

Can-Am 650 is the quickest of the bunch. I got around 20 mpg with my previous Outlander Max 650 XTP. Was a great machine and I think I only needed to replace a bearing after 5000 hard miles in the woods of New England. I only traded mine in because I wanted to keep up with my son and his buddy who both have Polaris Scrambler XP 1000's.

1000s are way too much power for me. If I had one I would end up flipping it over on top of myself. The only factory stock ATV that has more horsepower than the Can-Am Outlander 1000R is the Polaris Sportsman XP 1000. The XP 1000 beats the Outlander by 1 horse, and does it with an engine that's 24cc smaller. That's why in my earlier post I said Can-Am gets more power per cc from most of their engines than anyone else.
