i understand.........so do you think the hose itself could be defective ...its hose #4 per your diagram where the oil is coming out of the slit...i'm 70 years old and i really don't ride it in the cold weather at all.....thank you

Hose #4 is the engine oil return hose to the tank. There shouldn't be a slit in this hose..Check the hose itself and clamps for any damage if leaking. Only the top vent hose should have a small slit about an inch from the tank fitting.

well if 4 doesn't have a slit in it my problem is solved...i'll change the hose....thanks again for all your help
