Help! - New 2018 450 Sportsman or Used 2011 Yamaha Kodiak EPS
Hey everyone,
I'm new to the forum. I grew up ATV'ing back home and want to get back into the sport for hunting and fishing. I also like the sound of having a small plow on the front for the winter.
I'm looking at 2 different scenarios but I'm not sure what would be the better buy for overall value and long term value. It seems to me that used sportsmans keep their value pretty well - coming from the snowmobile world it seems that way.
2011 Yamaha Kodiak EPS - $4200 CAD
3000km. Has upgraded tires, aluminum skid plate, gun boot, spare gas can and a small back rack.
OR
2018 Polaris Sportsman H.O
$7200 OTD
This comes with 2 years of extra warranty.
What would you do?

Were any 450 Sportsmans ever breaking frames? Or any other Sportsmans (not counting the ones that were really Hawkeyes)? Or any other Polaris ATVs for that matter? Hawkeyes and the Hawkeyes they called Sportsmans were the only ones I ever heard of breaking frames. I seem to recall it being a rear sub-frame and not the main frame.
