and that same, oven hot night, I tried to sleep in the van, after that hot/humid scorching day, while kids slept in sm tent with no room for me, and never cooled down 1 deg.! but I fortunately taped screen, half way down on the driver side window, good thing too, because that's where the only fresh air was coming from, and is where I tried to sleep with my face/lips as close to the screen as possible, trying to suck in as much fresh air into my lungs as possible, since there was no breeze to help, and hoping my face/lips wouldn't lean against the screen, with a screen full of skeeters, just waiting on my passing out! lol One long night/weekend, that I'll never forget!

Three weeks ago I was working in my mom's house and was sweating like crazy. It was 80 degrees in there and she was wearing a sweatshirt with long johns underneath. She thinks anything less than 90 degrees is cold. I drank nothing but water before I went there and 3-4 quarts of sugar-free Powerade while I was there to try to stay hydrated but it didn't work. After a little over 5 hours I got chills and goose bumps popped up on both arms. I never peed during the nearly 6 hours I was there because I was sweating everything out. I mentioned it to my doctor when I went in for something else and my doctor said it sounds like I had heat exhaustion. I survived 2 summers of high heat and 100% humidity in Louisiana, and weeks at a time up north in July without having a heat injury, and it was my mom's house that finally did me in when it was still cold out in March. After drinking more water and Powerade at home, when I finally peed the first time in 7 hours it was darker than normal. I must have drank 2 gallons of liquid and peed out less than a cup. I sweated out all the rest. After doing some reading online I found out that one of my medical problems makes me more susceptible to heat exhaustion now. I need to air condition my tent.

Ordered this mini a/c yesterday and is why I need the generator to power it, and hopefully will fit in my other van window, opposite the furnace side.
