Default Difference between a 2004 and a 2005 Polaris Sportsman 500 h.o.

I have a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 500 h.o. And i put forward a-arms on it the forward a-arms are cor a 2005 bc they don’t make them for the older years what is the difference between the two because i am having a problem with them being about 2” longer and messing my tire angle up.

I know they changed some things from 2004 - 2004.5 - 2005 but I never knew what they were. Hopefully someone else does. Good luck.

They probably made it a inch or 2 wider on 05. You can probably make it work but you will have to lower your shocks to compensate for the difference as well as do something about the axles and the rear of the machine. What was wrong with the old a arms
