First time ATV Rider - ATV makes 'whine' noise when slowing
Just took my ATV out for a spin down the street - first time owning one.
2017 Can am Outlander max 1000r limited
When I am going at speed (20+mph), and let totally off the gas, it makes a 'whine' noise while slowing down... not while accelerating- just slowing down. Did it in 2 wheel and 4 wheel modes.
I am hoping/assuming this is a normal noise for it to make?

Welcome to the forums. Can-Ams are notorious for belt/transmission whine. It's completely normal. I just tell people that it's the turbo kicking in. I love how it engages, the noise, not so much. But, it is what it is. We've had a 500 Rengade, Outlander Max XTP 650, and I also have the current Outlander Max LTD. 1000r. They all whined like a liberal that didn't get a handout.
