Maintenance questions
 

Hi All,

I'm totally new to ATV's but have kinda taken the bull by both horns, so to speak. Bought 2 Can Am Outlander 450 Maxes for my wife and I and a Yamaha Grizzly 90 for the kids to learn to ride too.

I don't have the 2-up units yet but the kids have their 90 and are loving it so far. I'm assuming that whatever grease gun I get can be filled with the same grease for all 3 units and am wondering if BelRay waterproof grease is my best option for suspension applications. For those Canadians on this forum, is there any Canadian Tire grease that you use successfully?

Will likely buy some No Toil air filter oil and have read that Oxy Clean works rather well to wash air filters if using this specific oil. I have chain lube on hand for their chain driven quad and will pick up a muc-off chain cleaner too.

Any other maintenance products I should have on hand for basic maintenance?

I read lots online, but any suggestions and tips welcome as this stuff is all new to me.

I use the red and tacky from Canadian tire.. Pay a few $$ more but its great i use it on my trailer as well. I use the same oil for my filters and i would recommend just getting the matching filter cleaner. The company has a fantastic customer service.. Since they are used units i would change out the fluid in the diffs as well.. I use what ever synth canadian tire has on sale at the time..

You should pick up a cable lube tool and some cable oil too. Don't want to end up with a stiffened cable. I like to lube up my cables every year at the start and end just to be overprotective lol It's super simple to do.
