looking for a youth 243 in the Houston area. Academy has some for $199.00, but are heavy for an 11 yr. old girl. If anyone has one please let me know.

Thanks

Been hunting with a Sako 243 since I was twelve, and I'm 39 now. Great gun not much lighter than other calibers, and still gives a good kick. But a very reliable and accurate gun. Hope it helps, Jerry

Savage 243 cant go wrong. If the stock is a little long find a band saw and take about a quarter off. Wish I still had mine.

keep in mind the heavier the rifle the less kick. You will be carrying it most of the time anyhow.
