Actually a carbine. A Remington 7600 Carbine 30-06 Spr. I put a Leupold VX-II 2-7x3mm Scope on it. Hopefully I can get it sighted in this weekend. It's going to be my main deer, hog and black bear gun.

From what I hear they don't sell many of those pumps outside of PA. My brother has my dad's old .30-06 Remington 740 automatic. It's a close cousin to the 7600 and looks a lot like his model 58 20 gauge too.

A lot of guys I know here in New Yorkistan have 760/7600 rifles and carbines. Most tend to steer clear of the Remington semi auto's for reliability issues. On my way to my dealers I kept going back and forth between the new 750 Woodsmaster Carbine in 308 Win. or 30-06 Spr. and the 7600 Carbine in 30-06 Spr. I just couldn't take a chance with another semi auto Remington rifle. The 742 I had was a single shot/manual cocking rifle at best, there was nothing semi auto about it lol. I gave it away. As much as I wanted a new 750 Woodsmaster carbine, my last 7600 Carbine was perfect, I should have never sold it. So getting another 7600 was a no brainer in my opinion.

NYH!

Great. A nice gun you have purchased. With this gun you will get the real enjoyment of hunting. This is favorite gun especially when I go for hunting.
