Default Handle Bar Vibration

I have a Polaris Sportsman 500 h.o. and when I start it the handle bar shake really bad. And when I apply the throttle it still vibrates. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

AS I mentioned in a previous thread also I am looking to build up this machine to make it decent at trail riding and mud. What are some things I could do to make it better. My budget is about 500 dollars right now and will increase.

The mud won't get too deep maybe to mid wheel well or to edge of racks for a short time max.

Check the engine mounts, front, top and rear, plus exhaust mounting. Same for the belt and clutch area that could cause any vibration.May or may not have anything to do with the vibration, but areas you can eliminate first.

If you want to play in the mud you need some mud tires and if you get bigger tires you may need a clutch kit.

Probably would be a good idea to get a winch too. If you play in the mud, you will get stuck.

Definitely. Riding with friends that have tow straps is a good idea too.
