I'm new.
Hello,
Im 13 years old, I ride a trx90, today we went to my dads bosses house where i roe a honda foreman S, and i must say it was an amazing quad, i feel way to big for my 90,i felt good on the foreman,After talking it out with my dad, he has decided to get me a honda foreman 300, Is it okay for a 13 year old to be riding a quad of this size? i know it says its illegal, but i am big, bigger than most 13 year olds and i loved the foreman. Also, is it a good idea to buy my new atv from an auction, (like bank repoes and stuff) Any info would be great. |

There is a Trx300 or 300Ex but not a Foreman 300. Did you mean a foreman 400?

well welcome to atv conn! I dont know much about hondoos, but i'll help ya if i can...
my big rule for young adults: WEAR THAT HELMET, EVEN LOADING AND UNLOADING. and have fun! What you ride is up to you and your folks. That CPSC size limitations stuff is a lot of BS politics! Ride what fits you and what you think you can handle safely and still have fun. |

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding,(i dont know a whole lot about atvs) I think the hoda i rode was a 400, because it was very large, it was 4x4, and to shift gears you just have to hit a button! I am very exitited about getting a larger atv because riding my 90 was nothinglike riding the 400

if you want to go slow through really rough stuff get the foreman 450es...but if you like sports WHICH ARE COMPLETELY SAFE DAD consider getting a 300ex or a 400ex like I did when I was 13 & I couldn't be anymore happier with my 400ex. They are only dangerous if you are stupid.

When i ride, i dont want to go fast and jump or anything like that, we live on the powerlines and we have endless trails and streams...i dont really like to go fast i just like to go over ruff terrain and see what i can do, i have decided to get a foreman 4x4 because i think it suits my needs, does the foreman have reverse?

yeah the foreman has reverse...I ride in powerlines too! they are right by my house but I do like to go fast so go with the foreman if you like going slow...u can't go wrong with a honda

My dad is a big honda fan, he had a honda 400ex but he said it was rough out on the trails by our house, I will mostly use my foreman to go through small streams and creeks...climbing hills, riding over rocks, mud, and every once and a while might take it out to the feild for a little speed, when me and my dad where riding a 2002 foreman s, we couldnt find the reverse, so that got me to wondering if there is reverse at all, im glad to here there is, riding would be hard with out reverse.
(we are buying two foremans, one for me, and one for my dad) |

There is a Honda Foreman 400 that retails for $5899. Then there is a Honda Foreman 450 S & ES. (Electric Shift) for $6199. and $6399. If your dad buys a 2002 or newer model the 450's come with selectable 2x4 to 4x4. The Foreman 400 is fulltime 4 wheel drive. Tell your dad that he can get the Foreman for himself but you want the brand new Honda Rancher 400 AT which retails for $100. more than the Foreman 400 at $5999. and $200. less than the Foreman 450S.
