We all know Honda is coming aout with a great sport quad. Problem is we've been knowin' this for 2 years

 

Maybe they wont bring it out and they are just making it up

 

Someone on here posted that his predator 500 got outran 3 times by his friends stock 400ex. We should also post a topic like this for the rincon and maybe honda will change it for 2004, but still im stuck with the 03.

 

I like the ex fine but if I guy said he got outran 3 times by an ex and he was on a predator either-
A. He has a very very sick predator
B. The guy on the predator was very,very,very inexperienced and was not shifting right.
C. The guy on the ex had a big bore kit and the predator guy just didn't know.
D. The guy who posted the thread doesn't really own a predator and really has a 400ex.

Like I said I really like the ex and the z's and kfx's aren't that much ahead of the ex in performance in stock form. The potential of the z and kfx is a lot greater than an ex. I know an ex stock will not out drag a predator and no matter how die hard an ex fan you surely can't beleive that story.

 

Yeah i disagree to but everybody on that post was just following along dissing the predator.

 

Come on, we all know why honda hasnt released the new quad. They wanted yamaha to release they poor *** 450 and let the sales drop on their raptors. That way once yamaha's new quad is out, plus the kawi, zuki, and polaris quads are out, nobody can copy their designs or technology. It would be a perfect time to release a bike here in the next few months. Everybody is tapped out

 

Thats a good theory, and it would take all the other guys a long time(with engineering and testing) to come out with something comparable or better.

 

i know im not the only marketing genious in this forum. I dont like talking about would-be/could-be type scenario's. But the facts are there. Honda set the bechmark back with the 250r, it was a good quad. And set the industry for mx'ing. Every aftermarket frame built even to this day is designed off honda's technology. So why introduce a quad, whether it be technologically advanced or not a year before the competition introduces their version of the same quad (assuming it is a crf450 based powerplant) just to have the yami engineers steal their idea's and possibly improve on them. Kind of like, "you show me your cards, then ill show you my cards"

 

That's cool man. I like the pred. and the ex's, I just love my z and if I had a honda sport quad it would be a 250r. I agree honda is goint to raise the bar with their new quad or hopefully quads. Honda is the best manufacturer there is but I have to give yamaha props for making so many differnent level sport quads. I wish honda would do the same.

 

Beech is right. I know an insider ( I know , I know we have all heard this before), but he claims that Honda is waiting for the dust to settle and then we will see what its all about. He also claims to be hearing rumnblings about a Bomb race quad. hmmmmmmmmmm
