performance difference in honda 00' to 03' foreman 450's?
 

i recently purchased an 03 honda foreman 450s as my friend has a 00 foreman 450 s also... he has been planning on getting another one just like his since his is in bad shape due to his riding habits. but even thoug his even smokes a little when it runs his is at least twice as fast as mine is... we raced while is was in 2 whell drive and then in 4 and there was no difference.. his tires do have a litlte more air in them than mine but when i rode it, there is a definite difference in performance... is this just because my machine is not broken in well enough or did honda change something? help!!

i have had a foreman for 6 years now and just purchased a newerone. the new one is slower due to the big tires, I THINK.
but my old bike is alot faster. when it was new and the speed decreased as it got broken in but the tork was still there. so the top end slowed down as it got broke in. have you changed the fuel filter checked hoses and cleaned air filers. it is all how they were broken in and how the rider treats there bikes in the 1st couple hundred miles.
