I just gave 4200. for a brand new 03'. I think 3000. to 3500. would be closer to what you would get for an 01 in really good shape.

 

$3000. - $3500. sounds about right compared to the ads I've seen.

You could start around $4000. and see what offers you get.

 

Ya do like coyotechaser said just start at something maybe a little high then just say make your best offer and see what they say, cant hurt anything. What are you buying next .......

 

make the ad for $3,700 and negotiate from there.

 

hmmm... kellybluebook.com has them going for 3950, stock in good condition. so im guessing aroudn 4k... people have seen 300ex's that are like 94-95s in good condition selling for like 2750 all stock

 

you're right that's what it says but I don't think you will get that much for it. all you have to do is look on the message boards and you will see that they are getting harder and harder to sell unless you sell cheap. with the newer sport bikes comming out even the 250R has dropped in value. I know people that are waiting for the new honda so they can buy up 250Rs cheap. and the longer you wait the harder it will be to get a fair price for the 400ex.

 

well guys, remember i live in oregon where everything is highly priced, all the 01's are going around $4300.

I walked in to the local Hondashop and said I wanted to see the 400ex. the salesman said your in luck it's on sale. turns out they allready had the 04's and needed room on the floor. what's funny is the 300ex would have cost more than my 400ex
