'88 TRX 300 won't return to idle
HELP! I can start my TRX300 and it will idle fine. When I ride for 10-15 minutes, though, it won't returned to idle. I have adjusted the idle mix screw like the clymer's manual says. When I twist the screw clockwise, it will bottom out and the engine will not change pitch. I can back it out about 2-1/2 turns and it will choke down. I am not getting any air leaks around the carb or intake. Can somebody offer some advise?
Also, Where can I get a rebuild kit for my carb? I am looking at changing to aftermarket jets while it is broken down. Thanks for any help! Lance |

You shoud be able to get a rebuild kit from your dealer !!!! I would say thats what you need ( A carb rebuild). Also have you checked the operation of your choke cable and your throttle cable. You want to make sure your throttle cable isnt sticking (could cause a crash). How did you check for leaks around the carburetor ? ? ? ? Your choke sticking could also cause this or a similar problem so make sure you check that !!!!
