honda300exrider,
We had both in the family over 2 years ago and I favored the the 300EX over the warrior because of the sitting position and better handling nature of the 300EX. The warrior was faster on the top end though but in the woods you are never there.

its not worth asking this question on this site because if you ask it in the honda section you get honda, and yamaha in the yamaha section. I am a pretty biased rider and I say see if you can tryout both of the quads, but the majority of the suggestions for which quad will go to the forum its in

As with most quads, it's personal preference and riding style.
If you strictly ride in the woods, on rough, slow trails with lots of mud and rocks, and other extreme terrain then I think you'd be better off with the Warrior.
On tight fast trails that require good handling then I would go with the 300ex.
If you are just looking for straight line speed....Warrior.
If you are looking for a good quad for MX....300ex.
If you just want a quad to play around on your lawn with....probably a 300ex.
For the type of riding that I used to do, I would have picked the Warrior because we pretty much went from a nice fast dirt road that you could cruise wide open on (thus why I owned a Banshee), to extremely rough trails where you were only going 5mph.
Well, the riding I do now is a lot different, and I think I'd take the 300ex....it's just feels better than the Warrior does...the wheelbase is shorter and it's easier to throw around. You aren't all that big so it surely won't be too small either.
So with that said, I don't think you can just pick which quad of the two is "better" in general.
Hope this helps.
