yep thats why i got on brown650's mom's stock ds and smoked a yfz yesterday w/cam mod and D&D pipe on it...but its the fastest stock ds ive ever rode soo...and my 440 took him w/NO problem?

and last wkd (same YFZ) i got on a ds that had ALL of MY mods on it...had my carb,cdi,intake,head,everything!!i pretty much let him borrow my whole stage 3 and i took the yfz by around 12 bike lenghts LOL i told the dude on the yfz all it had on it was a pipe [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

fast440, I think the Honda's engine will have more <u>POTENTIAL</u> than the Yamaha does for two reasons- 1. The power will be smoother, causing less fatigue when racing 2. It seems as if the stock sleeve can be punched out to a whopping 500cc's and the Yamaha stops at 465, I think. However, I think that the Yamaha will have a better chassis for MX or TT. And I think you are right when you say that the better machine will ultimately come down to preferance.

DSRacer, I know what it's like to come accross a one of a kind quad. My buddy had a 400ex that was like that. It was always faster than any other 400 with the same mods and even faster than some with more mods. When I refered to the 400ex and said "are you kidding," I meant stock ones. I put the cam in my 400 and I deffinately like it. It pulls alot harder in the midrange and it still has very good manners. As far as the carb, I haven't gotten a cable for it yet- but I can't wait to try it out! Did your carb get there in time for you to race?

it did but it had a cracked float so it was leaking gas really bad and was bogging alot..but i still went didnt race though...but i got it fixed so im not worried...thanks for the carb though..that thing was full of sand LOL!

Really! Are you kidding? I pulled that thing right off of mine and it worked perfect, I swear. It must have gotten jarred around alot during shipping, I guess. Was the bowl full of sand or are you talking about it just being so dirty. I know I didn't clean it at all. Just off the quad and right into the box. But I am a little concerned about sand in the bowl. If it was in the bowl, I bet my engine is all faqued up.

there wasnt alot in the bowl just a lil bit but where the throttle cable is and everything was FULL of sand,and the pilot and main jet was clogged up w/sand soooo LOL i just used a can of b-12 and wd-40 and fixed it right up..works fine now...

LOL...in the mornings i have BCIS(business computer ?????? systems)lol...and she normally never makes us do anything so i just get on the internet and post on here and on exriders forums...and at night im at home...and yes i will be at the trailer park nationals on my 440 and more than likely a YFZ450...im selling my ds at the moment and going to get a 450 soon...you should PM me some time when you thikn you can make it down and i will get the big boys to come to the river [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]..if its not " to cold " for them..haha its never to cold for me and my buds we always build a big bonfire and cook out!
