Default 450R Wide Ratio Trans????

I notice that Baja Designs sells wide ratio gears for the CRF450R. Can these be adapted to the quad? What about other manufacturers? Anybody done this?

The crankcase and mainshaft part numbers are different.

I spoke to Tad @ Baja and he asked around and the general thought was it probably won't work. But he did ask where I lived and was going to offer them too look at it if I could bring it by. He didn't mention if they would charge for looking at it but I would guess they would.

I copied a formula for calculating top speed and posted it to my friends website. You can play around with tires and sprockets to see how they will effect your top speed. Check here

I hadn't had time to call BD yet, but I wonder that even if the gears fit, will they be the right ratios for a quad????
