Anyone know the torq spec's for a 400ex, on the clutch springs?

it is kinda sucky that the shop manual doesn't say exactly. I went with 89inch lbs last time i was in there. I would not go over 9ft lbs though.

Boy I sure do hate to disagree with people. But the`truth of the matter is. The first time i was in there i just snugged them up too. No probs at all for about 15 or 20 outings. One day sitting at the bottom of the hill getting ready to run it. My son dumped the clutch and BAM!!. the side of the case had a hole in it. One of the bolts had come lose and the end result was 300 bucks[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] I guess if your good and can snugg them up all the same your good to go. If not, spend the duckets for a good inch pound torque wrench. you'll need one someday anyway.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
