Default How do you think my plugs looks??

Well, i just uploaded my spark plug picture into my page might take a bit....

I just put a new jet needle and seat it in...ran it WOT then killed it...check the plug.....electrode white as ash, and outsides black.....

So, i turned the gas/air mixture screw out 1 turn, and now it looks like ok..some what rich maybe...i dunno

What do you guys think??

I've seen that combo before, where it was rich, then I changed some settings and it leaned out causing the white electrode, but still carboned from before.

If you replaced the needle jet set with OE Honda parts, my experience has been they are plenty lean even with a stock engine. Usually a mixture screw adjustment (richer) is adequate, but there have been times I've richened the needle a slot. As the needle jet wears you will probably have to undo those adjustments as it will tend to get richer as the hole gets bigger from the needle sliding up and down in it, but that probably takes awhile. With your mods, you may want to try to jet up a size or two from stock. Anyway, trying to rejet those old 185 - 200 engines by reading the spark plug is iffy at best. You're better off going by seat of the pants.

That plug looks miles rich to me. Not even in the ball park. The Poncho looks right on the money though!!!

ok..i sealed my exhaust up right good...ran it hard for a bit, then ran WOT for about 30seconds in fifth..pressed the gear shifter down and held it...stopped the engine, then checked the plug....the outside is like before, and the electrode is all white with *some* tan around the top of it..the protruding piece of metal over the electrode has white/tan on about half of it, like right over top the electrode..i think this is ok...what do u guys think...ill post a pic when the plug is cool enough to touch
