Default 300ex in mud and rocks

im was just wondering how a 300ex ex would do in deep mud and rocks given it only has around 5 inches of ground clearance. Also, does it have the power to go up steep hills without loosing much momentum or loosing traction. I am comparing the z250 to the 300ex so if you could give me comments on either one that would be great......thanx

I would get the z250 over the 300ex,all because of the p.i.t.a factor of the reverse system on the 300,you would be good for around 8-10 inches of mud(half and half mix)

thanx for the info have any of u ridden a 300ex or z250 or ozark i would really like a manual clutch because i feel more in control and plus its much more fun to ride. I've ridden a 300ex several times and like its handling but i haven'tridden in rocky or muddy areas, what i really want to know is is it can handle it with ground clearance issues. If i can i would take it over the z250 or ozark. oh by the way im looking for a used quad and found an ozark for 2000 that's why im incorperating it into the thread. both the ozark and ex having pluses and minus just dont know which to pick because i ride with one friend in pennsylvannia where everyone has sports and at paragon with my other friends who have utilitys. so far u guys have been helpful

get the 300ex and slap some maxxis razr 2's on them for 2 more inches clearance. still a sporty tire and if you loose some top end trop a tooth or two on the front sproket

would a new tires weight affect acceleration or be negative in any way.... i mainly would want more ground clearance and that would proboly be the solution for that, but there will be nothing i could do about the smaller 2.2 gallon tank... anyway im happy im getting alot of replies keep them coming
