250R Won't start
 

I was gettin ready to ride the othere day and was letting my R warm up because it had been a week since i rode it.. It started up just fine and i let it run before i got ready to take off. I got ready to take off and hit the gas and it died.. I took out the plug thinkin it maybe had just fouled it, and put a new one in it and still nothin. I took it out and put a nail up inside of it and held it and kicked it over and it's not gettin any fire. Do u think the coil is bad or do u think ti is somethign else??

maybe it is a shorted wire or the stator coil

I had an old tecate 4 and stator coils went out in it all the time

i was gonna say make sure your fuel is on till ui said about the nail haha

I ordered a the coil for it today. I was kinda hopin that might be the problem but if its not i guess I will replace the stator. Hopefully it is just the coil itself, I am about to get tired of messing with it. But i guess u gotta expect stuff like this to go wrong with a 18 year old fourwheeler.

If you have a book, I bet you could test all those pieces instead of throwing parts at it.

I didn't think of that until i had already ordered the parts but i am pretty sure that is what the problem is.
