A 300EX would smoke a blaster and a 400EX would straight spank a blaster like Micheal Jackson does little boys. It would kill it off the line b/c of the tourqe of the 4-stroke motor and would aslo beat it in top end b/c of the bigger displacement. It wouldnt even be a contest. Theres noway a stock blaster will top out at 64 or what ever, thats more like 52-55. And its more ranged w/ the 250EX like pinkfloydman said.

 

my father inlaw just did some things to his blaster like pipes and some trenga racing kit and his stock 400ex will smoke it by 2-3 bike lengths ran them several time at rock spring this year

 

finally people are relizing theres no way a 200cc engine can go up aginst a 400cc motor no mater if its a 2 stroke or a 4 stroke...

 

....... u apparently dont know to much if you leave a comment like that. what do you ride? a blaster kills a 250 even if the 250 had exhaust... i would know cause 2 of my friends have htem and they ride almost as well as i do and they cant even touch me... and another friend has a 300 with a slip on pipe and he cant beat me eaither... even if he gets a better start he cant win.... a blaster is faster than a 300 ex and a 250.... sorry to tell you that... 200 2 stroke = 348 4 stroke.....

 

first of all i ride a 300EX which beats most blasters on the track. And no wonder your friends cant touch you b/c yours is bored .20 over like you said in another forum or this one, i dont rem. No wonder its gonna beat a 250, you cant even compare. Even though its all in the port workw/ a kit like that your gonna get it ported to. Stock to Stock it would be preety close between the 250 and blaster. Thats just my opinion but aot of people i know agree w/me. Just look at my pic.s and you'll see what i have. And like i said earlier i almost beat a blaster on sand but i had to much wheel spin b/c i didnt have a clutch to start. When we got to the finish line we where about neck and neck. And the bikes were both stock and stock.

 

.20 isnt that much idiot, up at bull gap there was 2 300exs and had a pair of razrz on the sand was wet i whooped both of them up the hill, they were nubs tho i suspect.

 

People people people...ok listen..a blaster...which has an outdated 200cc 2 strokle engine that was introduced a long time ago...now the 300ex...not its in fact only around 286cc...but it is a 4 stroke...now a 250ex which is infact 226cc can run up to 52 miles an hour...a blaster can run same to 52 to 54 but i goes faster off the line becasuse its a 2 stroke...now the 300ex which is 286 or whatever is faster than the blaster...it can get up to around 56,58...but since it is a larger cc and chain driven not to metion fully manual...it can be faster off the line...there fore no mater what you say on perfect conditions off the line and an unlimited space the 300ex WILL WILL WILL WIN!!!thats it...now there are other instances where the blaster could win due to human error...but otehr than that, fact for fact... THE 300EX WILL WIN!!!DONE THATS IT!!!

now since the 300ex will beat the blaster the 400ex will easily spank a blaster...that debate is DONE!!!

 

if you people are so confident it will win video tape it, as i am goning to do, my bone stock 400 againts, a 2001 blaster. rebuilt by me, wiseco .020 over, reed spacer, fmf gold series and turbine core 2, 20 inch tires, and some other stuff. we raced and i only beat him by like 4 bike lengths, not to bad, on wet pavement, both holeshotting it, and we both are real riders.

i can beat a 300ex with a lakota, mojave and blaster. 300ex is a 286cc air cooled 4 stroke, now when you factor that 2 strokes have 1.75x the amount of HP of a 4 stroke ok here is goes. 196cc blaster x 1.75, comes out to be a 343cc 4 stroke.

as said the ama sanctioned and limited a 250 class 2 stroke, and 440 four stroke, now when you do that same formula again. 250 x 1.75 is a 437.5, just a few cc's short of a 440 sized 4 stroke.

dont wine and cry a 300ex is slow. i do belive a blaster will do about 58, just because of its small displacement hinders it, i would belive the 300 a bit faster TOP END, because of the larger bore.

my rm250 vs. a yzf-426, 5 valve. my rm will beat the yz, off the line and through the gears, because by the time the 4 stroke starts to have its power, in the midrange there is no catching up to the thing. granted nothing can touch my 250 [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

thank you, so that means that a quadzilla pondering that it has a 500cc two stroke is a 875cc four stroke roughly. thats a big differnce.

 

or maybe just 660 or at worst 686
