I'd put them on then CAREFULLY drive around the yard, checking for steering problems or tippiness, I had 23" on my son's, and they looked a little big, 25" is going to make that Recon look like a Monster Truck !!!!! With 25", I'd look for tires hitting in front on sharp turns and make sure they don't hit the fenders front or back when you push down the suspension. For trails, that size should be alright, but get it in any deep stuff, and you may not have the power to turn the tires to get out.

 

with the wolvy tires will you loose performance?

 

Not that I noticed, the little while we ran them on there, it seemed fine, gave it a little more top end, and the handling was great, due to the 12 " rims leaving less sidewall to move around, so it rode and handled great. A utility like the Recon is geared a little low, so the 23" tire helped keep it out of the rev limit on hard acceleration. That was one peppy little quad, it was fast off the line, just a lot less top end than my Wolverine. Didn't take long before he was whining about more speed, so I ended up getting him a 300ex about a year and a half after getting the Recon.
