The replacement Honda stem for the 400EX was $70. You can either replace bent stems or bent bars, take your pick. Actually, I think it is easier to replace a stem than pulling all the levers off the bars, and replacing the grips, etc.

KID-I got the T2 "kit", which includes the bars and mount. I really much prefer the lower bar position compared to stock, but I am not real tall and I don't have long monkey arms. If you want to keep the stock position, then go with the TAG X-5 bars, and keep the stock mounts.

The T2's are "bulge" bars, and cannot be used with the stock mounts! You must get the kit, which has the larger mounts. The kit is nice, because it comes with a plate for mounting the key and those little lights.

The bar position is about 1" lower than stock (I'm guessing). I really like it, because it keeps you lower, for more stability in high speed turns (my 450 is my desert cross-country bike).

If your taller the 6ft id recommend tag t2 cr double hi bend bars with stock stem length. Like ReconRanger said, my t2 cr hi bends are alittle lower then stock.

One thing a lower bar position will do is make the bike a little harder to wheelie. Since the 450 wheelies very easily anyway, I consider this to be a positive thing! Lower bars make hill climbing easier, because your weight is lower on the front of the machine. But, the opposite is true for very steep descents, where you may feel like your weight is to far forward, and you can't get back far enough on the machine.
