Pro's and Con's for Trx450r?
 

im considering buying an 05' TRx 450r but i would be interested in what owners of them think first. Like what do u like best and what u dont like. What the limits are ETc. if some one could help me that would be great. im trying to see Pro's and Con's for Yfz450 also. But i think im going for the 450r nomattter what, (awsome quad [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] )

I've ridin both and like both of them. They are both great machines but I chose the TRX do to comfort and the overall ride of the bike. The TRX450r feels alot like my old 250r(the way your body is positioned on the bike) where the YFZ it feels like your hunched over like it needs a 2" taller steering stem. The power of the YFZ is A+, I love the snappiness of the throttle & instant power. Don't get me wrong the TRX has great power but its a smoother power band and will need a few more hop-ups to keep up with a YFZ. The suspension in the YFZ is also stiff, it was designed for a life of motorcross and unless your willing to hit everything balls-to-the-wall the suspension sucks. I ride mostly sand and that suspension doesn't really work for me. If you do a search, this topic has been discussed a 1000 times and you should find all the opinions you need but I've givin you my 2 cents.

I'm very pleased with my 450. Like someone said earlier, it feels similar to the 250R, but even more planted in turns. It's a blast to slide, and is very predictable when doing it. I think the biggest complaint about the honda is that it's a kickstart but.. Personally, I love the kick

I have only had mine for three weeks now and I am very pleased. It is a very comfortable ride. The only change that I have made or would recomend is changing the front sprocket to a 13tooth. Of course that depends on how you like to ride or what kind of riding that you will be doing. Overall the power is great, suspension is plush, and the ergonomics of the quad are great. The R likes to rip so be ready.
