No spark???
This morning, I was letting my 2000 400ex idle to warm it up and all of a sudden it just died. I tried to start it back, but nothing. I took the spark plug wire off and stuck a plug in it and grounded it and turned it over, but no spark. I checked all of my connections and grounds, they seem fine. What could be the problem? I know I'm getting fuel. I have a book on it, but it's showing you need a special part (some kind of little white box with wires) to check the ignition system voltage. Anything would be greatly appreciated!!!

No spark???
I took the coil off and checked for continuity between the black/yellow wire and the spark plug wire. At first it showed continuity. I checked it a couple more times and it was still ok. I checked it one more time and it showed nothing. I had the meter on 200 ohms. I switched the meter untill it started picking up again and then it showed 180,000 ohms. I moved the wire around trying to get it to pick up better, but nothing. Could this be the problem???
