Hello 400ex owners,

My buddy has a 400ex and he is afaird that his 400ex will break because he has not much of money.
So I am trying to make him not to worry to much.
The front socket is loose and I looked closer and the shaft was moving too! And also he told while riding that the chain would slip sometimes so I was like oh no. Is that normal or not? I checked my Raptor's socket shaft and it was tight and not shaking at all! I love my Raptor it's awesome. I have not yet problem so far. I ride pretty hard! I do lot of mud and water slashing.
But I wash my Raptor at after every ride and take care of it.
anyways Thanks for the help.

Have a safe ride!

That's a new one on me...with the countershaft moving and all. I've read a lot of things but not that. Are you sure its not just the clip bolts being loose that hold the sprocket in place?

Mine does the same thing..it is not loose..The countershaft should move a little.. Any of honda's non-rear wheel drive quads/CR/XR countershaft move a little.

Have him check his axle and swingarm pivot bearings. When these get loose the chain will not line up properly and you will start throwing them.
