Thanks for the info. It figures it would at the furthest possible point in MS. With todays gas prices and the way my Dodge Quad cab enjoys gasoline, that would offset the savings.

I checked with my honda dealer and they told me plases are adv. that and that is not including frate and some of the outher fees he told me that $3695 was what he is buying the rancher man. shift and the recon was $2999 his cost but there mite be some dealers out there that will take a little loss to get rid of 2005 atvs to get the 2006 ready to sell.

The dealers get money back from Honda when they sell a quad. I agree there isn't much of a markup on the less expensive models but IMO most dealers are probably making their money in the service/parts dept. Be wary of these set up/freight charges......these are simply dealer mark up's. After my first ATV purchase I've never paid more then MSRP OTD and in a few cases even less then that and I live in CA where the taxes and registration run about 10% of retail.

The way they explained it to me is Honda determines the price they give to the dealer based on the amount of units they can sell. Lake Hill for instance will sell a couple hundred 4-wheelers in a week, and the local dealer in Gulfport, MS gets their Honda ATV's at a higher price than what Lake Hill sells them for. This is what I was told.......
