I have heard several different stories on air filters for Atv's. What does everybody in here think the the best filter for a Atv is? Foam or K&N...........Thanks

Here is my OPINION. I don't claim to be right, and don't want to argue, just my opinion. The K&N will restrict airflow less than a Uni, but the Uni is better at filtering very fine dust.

K&N WITH OUTERWEAR-----------!!!!

lol

Works great for me in the sand and dirt. Just clean it like you ought to.

K&N's will ultimately flow more air (and dirt). Foam filters filter better.

Unless HIGHLY modified, a foam filter will flow more than enough air for your engine & not affect HP (I have personally tested it on a 400EX vs the stock filter and flame arrestor cage).

Make the choice that works for you. I have a nice new modified engine because of a K&N myself (can't complain too much, gave me a reason to tear the engine open). My new engine breaths thru a stock filter...

I like K&N but its not the best for filtering fine stuff, although many people prefer the K&N for just about anything
