Late 80's 250 fourtrax
 

What is with the way the front end is made on the mid-late 80's model fourtrax 250's. They are different from all other models from what I can tell. Doe's anyone know why they were designed this way? I have one and I like it. It rides great. I was just curious why these were made different!

i have no idea why they made it like that prolly those years they were expirmenting since it was their first years of quads. but i used to have one and i sure did not like it. i thought it rode really ruff and the suspension hardley moved.

It's, no doubt, not a smooth ride. It does have a pretty stiff suspension on it. But the engine runs great. If you look at the 200 models of the same year and the 250r models, they have a "normal" front suspension. I just thought is was weird that this one was the only one like it.

no doubt i liked that fourwheeler ive got newer ones now but they still dont feel as comfortable as i did on that 250 and that only this i broke on it was the rear driveshaft. must weakened it when i was jumping on it all the time.
