Question is, would it be a good trade?

 

She is tall and would fit on a 400ex better. The 300ex is a trail GOD but I can't imagine it has the power for the dunes. For some reason, replacement parts are way more expensive for the 300ex than the 400ex. Never really understood why but it is true.

I dont know much about riding the dunes but my girlfriend is 5'5' tall 100 pound and the honda 250ex was great especially if u go with an 06 it has an autoclutch with manual option. She loved it

 

Look at the 350 Raptor, my buddy bought an 05 for his wife and one of his buddies bought one too they seem to be fairly good sport quads for beginners and a 350 would give her a little room to work up.
